This optimised charging system extends the life of the battery considerably so Makita are able to produce fast charge times because their batteries and chargers are kept cool whilst the battery is connected. The DLM382CT2 features a soft start motor and an electric brake that stops cutting blade rotation almost instantly when the operation lever is released. A generous 40-litre grass box is simple to empty and features a grass level indicator to save wasted trips to the compost bin. Thirteen cutting heights are available between 20-75mm and easily adjusted with a single cutting height lever, and a rubberised handle folds for compact storage. The Makita BL1850B 5.0Ah Li-ion Battery offers up to 66% more runtime than the BL1830B 3.0Ah Battery and up to 33% more runtime than the BL1840B 4.0Ah Battery.

With no trailing wires and no pull start as with petrol lawn mowers, the Makita DLM382CT2 is a more practical and efficient alternative with zero emissions and lower noise and vibration levels. In addition, this lawn mowerhas an electronic current limiter for overload protection and user safety.
