It all looks natural though, so I'd say it is a pretty good food overall, and certainly far better than the majority of commercial rubbish there is out there. Arden Grange looks a little more 'suspect' to me, although we have fed it in the past: On a day-to-day basis, ensure you're feeding your pooch the correct amount by measuring out each meal on weighing scales. A few extra bits of kibble might not seem like a lot, but it can massively contribute to weight gain. We can’t seem to find many alternatives that quite match Dr John Dog Food. There are a few grain-free products out there, but we really are very impressed with Dr John. If your budget can stretch to it, we would highly recommend grabbing a bag. We are certain that your furry friend will lap it up!

While not the cheapest dog food out their the price point for Dr Johns is good value for money considering the quality of the food that is provided.
