We’re glad that this is fixed. Fujifilm has a slew of issues regarding the use of their app and connectivity to cameras. And we hope that they truly take it more seriously. Metering

Alternatively, if you’re shopping at B&H you can use Watson or SmallRig batteries – both great options as well. Just before moving on, here’s a burst taken with the mechanical shutter on the X-T5 while I’m panning, showing how the buildings are upright as you’d expect. The new sensor (which also features in the XH2) has a resolution of 7728 x 5152 pixels versus the 26mp XT4. This means you will be able to produce prints, @250dpi, that are 31” along the longest edge without any upscaling. Cramming 40mp into an APSC sized sensor, without compromising image quality, is no mean feat. To put that in context, the XT5’s pixel density on a Full Frame would result in a 90mp sensor and on a GFX it’s almost 160mp.This allows users to leave the aperture wide open in very bright conditions such as a sunny beach or a ski slope, or to capture a split-second motion. Body and Design The XT5 is the sixth Fujifilm camera to feature 5-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), following on from the X-H1, X-H2, X-H2S, X-H2 and the X-S10. The X-T5 can automatically detect animals, birds, cars, bikes, planes and trains thanks to the X-Processor 5's AI deep learning capabilities, a feature that no Fujifilm camera other than the XH2S and X-H2 have had before.

If that’s not enough for you the XT5 also features Pixel Shift Multi-Shot, which uses the camera’s in-body image stabilization (IBIS) mechanism to shift the image sensor with precision, to shoot 20 images that can be combined to create a final 160mp image for the ultimate in image quality. In practice this feature is not always relevant to landscape photography where grass and foliage might be moving between frames resulting in a blurring in the image. However, for architecture this is a great feature. After 9 years of image making with this system, this is my favourite camera to date. I can honestly say there has never been a better time to be shooting with Fujifilm. The 9H screen protectors can be a little difficult to get off. I usually use a hair dryer to apply light heat before trying to replace screen protectors. In all, the X-T5 takes a very photo-oriented approach to its ergonomics. Fuji includes an on-screen Silent Video Control for video, but the cinema-minded creator is much better served with an X-H2 or X-H2S. These models support ProRes recording either at 8K (for the X-H2) or at 4K with fast sensor readout for the X-H2S, along with a mainstream Mode-based control scheme.
