About this deal
Such is the picture David paints with his words in Psalm 32—a drought of spiritual vitality brought on by his own sin. When he failed to confess his sin to God, his “bones grew old” and he groaned “all the day long” (verse 3). It was like his soul was being evaporated by the heat of his own guilt and shame. But then the rains of grace came and David confessed his sin and God forgave him (verse 5). And he encouraged his readers not to make the same mistake he had made (verses 9-10). You may not know Me well, but I know everything about you ( Psalm 139:1). I know when you sit down and when you stand up ( Psalm 139:2); I know what you do and when you do it. I am familiar with all of your ways ( Psalm 139:3) — every hair on your head is numbered ( Matthew 10:29-31). You were made perfectly in My image ( Genesis 1:27), My offspring (Acts 17:28), a child of the Most High God (Galatians 3:26) and heir to the throne (Romans 8:17). I knew you and loved you before your conception (Jeremiah 1:4-5), and chose you when I planned creation (Ephesians 1:11-12). You were never a mistake ( Psalm 139:15-16) as all your days are written in the Book of life ( Psalm 139:1516). The humanity of Christ, while at the same time divine, is hard to understand. But thankfully, Scripture gives us illustrations: Like us, Jesus suffered, experienced hunger, required sleep, ate food, and had limits on His knowledge (Mark 13:32). One of the most striking and helpful illustrations of Jesus’ humanity was His prayer life. We might think that, if Jesus was truly divine, He would have had no need to pray for knowledge, guidance, or help. Yet He did, following the example of godly men like Daniel in Babylon (Daniel 2:16-18). Jesus repeatedly said that He only did what the Father showed Him to do (John 5:19), and prayer was His means.

When we receive and are filled with the love of Christ, his perfect love can overflow into the lives of those around us. Testimonies on God’s Love Letter to You My precious child, you are seen. Your prayers are heard. Your wishes and hopes and pains are felt. Sometimes I do not give you what you want because I’m bringing you something better. Sometimes I don’t answer you in the way you’d like, but trust me anyways. I have a plan. You see I’ve loved you from the beginning, long before you loved me (1 John 4:19). I sent my son Jesus, the exact representation of my being (Hebrews 1:3), to die on the cross in your place (Romans 5:8), to take upon Himself the punishment that you deserved (Isaiah 53:5), and to take away your sin (John 1:29). For you the mighty Lion sacrificed his life as an innocent Lamb (Revelation 5:5-6). Through Jesus, I, your Lord and Master, have come to serve you! (John 13:13-14)
Transformation
Daily meditation practice goes best as we learn to stand firmly onthefirst rung of the ladder to heaven. By this I mean learning to be attentive to God’s voice reverberating in a poem, a novel, the refrains of a song, a report on the evening news, or a conversation overheard in the waiting room at the doctor’s office. In learning to stand firmly on the first rung of the ladder to heaven, we learn to be receptive and open to God, uttering us into existence as we wash out a pot, or fix a broken gate, or slip off our shoes at the end of the day. [3] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I am your Father and I love you even as I love my Son, Jesus (John 17:33).Understand, it is in Jesus My love for you is revealed (John 17:26). He is, in fact, the exact representation of My love and My being (Hebrews 1:3). He came to demonstrate that I am for you and not against you (Romans 8:31).He died so that you and I could once again be reconciled (2 Corinthians 5:18-19) — the ultimate expression of My love for you (1 John 4:10). I gave up everything I loved so I might gain your love in return (Romans 8:32). If you receive the gift of My beloved Son, Jesus, you also receive Me (1 John 2:23).In Him, nothing will ever separate you from My love (Romans 8:38-39). Starting with Isaiah’s Dream, and ending with Wise Men’s Wonder, this book cleverly combines prose and poetry as the story of Jesus’ birth unfolds. I want you to know something. I created you. I knew who you were, who you would become long before you were even born. I knew that you would grow up, that you would fall down, that sometimes you would question yourself even though you were made in my image and I love you so very much.

Since I care so much for you, don’t worry about getting your needs met and don’t worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:25-34). Just as I look after the little sparrow, so will I look after you (Matthew 10:26-31). So give your burdens to me and let me give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Talk to me when you’re anxious and let me put you at peace (Philippians 4:6).
