DEAD MAN'S FINGERS Mango Tequila Cream Liqueur 70cl
About this deal
Agave syrup: Agave is often used as a sweetener with margaritas because it’s used to make tequila! It’s easy to find these days at most grocery stores. Mangoes: use frozen mango chunks to avoid diluting the drink with ice. If unavailable, cube fresh mangoes and freeze them beforehand.
Triple sec: this orange-flavored liqueur adds a nice touch. My favorite is Cointreau, but Grand Marnier is a good substitute. You can replace it with fresh orange juice for a less alcoholic version. Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses, garnish with lime wedges and fresh mint sprigs, and serve immediately. Salt the rim of your glasses by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it in a mixture of chili powder and sea salt. This is optional, but it enhances the sweetness of the mango and adds a mild, spicy contrast.

The acidity of the sauvignon blanc in this recipe helps balance out the sweetness of the agave syrup. Start by mixing 25ml each of agave syrup and sauvignon blanc in a small jug until it is a consistent liquid. Then add to a tall glass with 50ml blanco tequila and 25ml freshly squeezed lime and lemon juice (equal measures of each). Top up with soda water or bitter lemon and ice cubes, and stir. It’s almost a cross between a spritz and a margarita – very refreshing on a nice day. Lot lizardThis recipe is incredibly versatile, making it perfect for any time of the year. Here are some ways to customize it: Made at the Juanacatlán distillery cooperative just outside of Guadalajara, which also produces a handful of other unflavored and locally distributed tequilas, the success of Tanteo’s flavored tequilas has bolstered the 85 member cooperative as a whole and has also led the brand toward an unusual progression, with the launch of its first traditional tequila, a blanco, in January 2020. The result is a 100 percent agave, 80-proof tequila (a rare combination within the flavored tequila category). It has a light aroma and punch of (reasonably) spicy flavor that’s ideal for mixing into a Margarita. Alternatively, you can mix with tonic or into other drinks needing a little tang. Fans of spice will also find that this could even be sipped neat or over ice. Playa Real Pineapple Infused Tequila
Next you divide it into four glasses and pour over ice, and top with your mango juice. Add a cherry and an umbrella for some finishing touches, and enjoy!Make it skinny by using fresh orange juice and a small amount of agave nectar instead of triple sec. He also believes that being able to use fresh flavoring elements have, “helped us break down some barriers and shift mindset from skepticism to embracing our flavored tequilas.” The high alcohol content is going to intensify the flavor[ing], so what most brands do—and you see this with flavored rums or flavored vodkas—the cheap ones are always 60 proof, 50 proof and they add a lot of sugar to it,” says Grosscup. “They’re trying to hide the flavor with a bunch of added sugar. You can’t do that in tequila. A few of the other spicy [flavored tequilas on the market] cut it with pineapple or mango or something else, but we get around that by just using real peppers.”
