Narcissists are always bad news. You already know a few. Unfortunately, narcissism is on the rise, so, that number may increase.If they are just friends, they cannot be relied upon and will give you no emotional support. If they are your superior , they will abuseyou by tearing down your self-esteem and ignoring your contributions to the detriment of the group, so you will perform poorly and be a drag on them as well as yourself. I gave this book two stars because it does do a decent job of describing the personality of a narcissist and the dynamics found within a narcissistic/codependent relationship. However, it is a very poorly written book – a lot of times I found myself going, huh? It was painful to read about the subject matter but sadly it was also painful to read in general because it was written by, more than likely, someone who doesn’t write professionally and I highly doubt the author used an editor which is too bad because it could’ve been a great book.
